Background: |
As a child Michel was convinced that he would one day be a priest in Montreal. In elementary school he was already reading his Bible regularly. He had a great thirst to know Jesus. He says, “Every day I prayed that God would draw me to Him.” Finally in 1985, at an evangelistic meeting in Longueuil, Michel gave his life to the Lord after this question was asked: “What is keeping you from giving your life to Jesus?”
Encouraged by Pastor Daniel Gagné, Michel decided to serve with JBEQ. He then moved to Terrebonne and began attending Église Baptiste Évangélique de Terrebonne-Mascouche. At the church he was involved in a prayer ministry, Sunday school and the youth group.

Experience: |
Julie and Michel met at the church in Terrebonne. They were both firmly convinced of God’s call on their life to serve in full-time ministry. They moved to Laval-Est and became involved with the church there. While serving in Laval-Est, their call to ministry was confirmed. For two years Michel served as a pastor-in-training under Normand Joseph, who was then pastor of the church.
