Petit-Clerc
Current ministry: Since May 1979, most of her time is spent in the Montreal office of the French Regional Association, translating materials for the Fellowship ministry centre in Guelph, the Fellowship French Mission, SEMBEQ and the French regional office. Outside office hours, she still has a varied ministry, which includes involvement in her own local church at Terrebonne-Mascouche, conference speaking, summer children's camps, publishing Sunday school material and other translation work.

Spiritual Background: Marianne grew up in the Montreal area. Her parents became Christians during her childhood and she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at age 12. That same summer while at camp, she promised God that she would be serving him full-time some time in the future.

Ministry Experience: Marianne worked at Bell Canada for 10 years. Marianne felt that she was also serving God during this time as she witnessed to coworkers and taught children's Bible classes. This made it even harder for her to decide to leave. But in September 1966, she could no longer ignore the call of the Lord, so she quit her job and went to Muskegon, Michigan to follow a three-month course at the Child Evangelism Institute. The following January, she attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music for one semester after which she served the Lord for one year as a Child Evangelism Fellowship missionary.

During that year, she realized that she needed more knowledge of God's Word, so she enrolled at Institut Biblique Béthel for a three-year program. After graduation in 1971, she became a full-time missionary with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in her own province of Quebec. During these years, Marianne was involved in children's home Bible clubs, Sunday school, hospital Bible classes, visitation, teacher training classes, conferences, camp work, preparing Sunday school materials and in translation work.
