Current ministry: The Nolets moved to Mont-Tremblant in the summer of 2000. They worked with the church at l'Annonciation to begin a new daughter church in Mont-Tremblant. The new church started Sunday morning meetings on Sunday, January 12th, 2003.

Mont-Tremblant is in the Laurentians north of Montreal. It is in one of the fastest growing regions of Quebec as this resort area is undergoing extensive development.

Family: François and Denise were married in 1973 and have six children.

Spiritual Background: François was born in 1950, the middle child of a family of 13 children. His family was Roman Catholic and very devout. He began studies to enter into a religious vocation at the age of 14, but after one year as a novice he left. At age 19, he completed studies at a commercial college and went to look for work in Ontario because he wanted to learn to English and he hoped to make a lot of money quickly.

He worked for number of jobs and he traveled considerably—across Canada, to Europe, and in the United States. Upon returning home two years later, he found work and then purchased a farm. One day he asked his brother to come to help him, but it started to rain heavily and they were forced to stop. Taking refuge in the house, his brother saw a perfect opportunity to speak to him about the Lord. François was very reticent at first, but he was struck when his brother quoted Hebrews 9:27: "It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment."

From that moment he started to search the Scriptures and to attend the Baptist church in Victoriaville. Two months later in September 1976, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. The Lord soon showed François that he should sell the farm and serve Him, but he resisted for three years.

Ministry Experience: In 1979, François became a servant-in-training in Victoriaville. However, he found it difficult to be submissive to the leadership of the church and God took him out of this position. For the next three years, François worked as a farmhand and a lumberjack. He describes it "a training period when the Lord worked in my rebellious heart, revealing sin, and showing me the need to become a servant for Him." Eventually the Lord led him back into ministry and he worked under the direction of the pastor and the church. After serving in this capacity for nine months, the church in Victoriaville asked him to serve full time.

In April 1988, the church in Val-d'Or in northwestern Quebec called him. He saw the need for more church leaders to reach this area for Christ and sought to reproduce himself in leadership. He trained Raymond Guérard for three years and left him in charge of the church when he moved to La Sarre in 1993. In La Sarre he trained church leaders to do the work of the ministry. During these years he also ministered to a small group of believers in Rouyn.
